Anonymous: who was/is your favorite subject? and what is your personal favorite photo of yours?

My favorite subject is the land. The land we occupy is intrinsic to the people we are and will become and a constant consideration in my day to day life and art making. My favorite photograph was created by an artist of similar values; Robert Adams. His image “Colorado Springs, Colorado 1968” has been a favorite of mine for years. Thank you for the question.

Shitty image but couldn’t get the equipment to photograph it properly.
An attempt at involving my politics into my work, a learning experience at best.

I took a video of me painting tonight to review and see how I could not fuck up so much. Lessons learned: 1 I look nuts when I paint. 2 I have a bald spot.

Your head is in the right place..

My head is everywhere how can it be in the right place?

To the person who said that Rothko isn’t an artist and “just paints squares” in class… you make leaving SVA that much easier. Thank you.

Keep close to Nature’s heart… and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.
